Hand-Held Interrogators/Management Devices

Overview

CWC offers a variety of fully integrated, battery powered, Hand-Held Interrogators/Readers to enable the user, operating in an extremely austere location to capture desired data from any form of Automatic Identification Technology, articulate/adjust/correct that data if required at any given point in the Supply Chain, and formulate an appropriate, formatted message enabling easy transmission to the customer's Automated Information System.

DAVS Hand-Held Interrogator (DHI)

The DHI has two main components, enabling it to gather 1D/2D Barcode, Savi 433 MHz RFID Tag, and Imagery data.

Symbol PDT 8146 1D/2D/Imager

ConnectedWireless' STR7200 Mobile Savi Tag Reader is a breakthrough device, manufactured by CWC under agreement with Savi Technologies, to provide a completely portable RFID Read/Write capability to the standard 433 MHz RFID tags in wide use in the DoD. To form the DHI, the device has been integrated with Symbol's PDT 8146 to create a seamless 1D/2D/Savi RFID data collection/management platform. Importantly, CWC completely updated the basic Savi Mobile Manager software, which controls all RFID functionality. With this significant upgrade, many functions, such as remote Tag Write, are performed much more efficiently (e.g., 1 min vs. 20-30).

Currently listed on DoD's RFID Contract, CWC's Universal Hand-Held Interrogator is offered in the following configuration:

Importantly, this device comes with CWC's vastly improved Savi Mobile Manager Software and can be ordered with a Software Development Kit (SDK), allowing the customer to adapt/integrate this unit with existing applications.
